I love the devotion page. I loved this novella, I am so sad it ended so quickly. It was amazing all the way through. I was surprised multiple times. The plot twist shocked me, I never expected it nor seen it coming. I even cried right before the end. The amount of love shown it’s amazing to read and see it possible even in the least likely of a person, demon, angel, devil or even shifters.

this had everything that I was hoping for and enjoyed about the dark fantasy romance genre. The overall feel worked with the first book in the Temptation of Angels series. I enjoyed the idea of angels and demons in this and was glad I got to read this. It continued this world perfectly and was glad I got to read this with these characters.

Retellings of Sleeping Beauty are plentiful, but Abby McCormick’s novella feels incredibly fresh with an interesting what if?: what if the Prince was darker. Each character felt unique to the others with interesting personalities, virtues and flaws (some more than others) that make them three-dimensional. Theodora is an interesting take on the Sleeping Beauty character; showing what may happen when she wakes up or finds herself in a waking nightmare.

This young adult fantasy romance novella is a retelling, with all the recognizable elements of the classic Aladdin story. I think that any story with a genie and a magic carpet is awesome. This was light, easy reading and fun.
